Joanna Gaines is an American businesswoman and reality TV personality, who is widely recognized as the host of HGTV‘s Fixer Upper alongside her husband, Chip Gaines. As the owners of the remodeling and design business ‘Magnolia Homes’, they are flipping, remodeling, and fixing up homes together for more a decade.

She also works as the lead designer for the company. Besides, being the most lovely couple or let’s say husband and wife, they have been earning millions of dollars as their salary. In fact, their net worth has also increased rapidly over the years.

Early Life and Education

The co-founder and co-owner of ‘Magnolia Homes’, Joanna Gaines was born on April 19, 1978, in Kansas, the United States. She is the daughter of Nan Stevens and Jerry Stevens. Her father owned automobile business.

Gaines holds an American nationality and regarding her ethnicity, she has a mixed ethnical background as she was born to a Korean mother and half Lebanese/half German father. As a child, she was raised up in her hometown Kansas along with her younger sister Mary Kay McCall.

Gaines attended Baylor University and earned a bachelor degree in communications. After accomplishing her graduation, she moved to New York as an intern and finished her internship at CBS News.

Joanna Gaines started a boutique store of her own in the year 2003. After that, she built up the passion for interior design which encouraged her to pursue her career in the construction field. She later opened ‘Magnolia Market’ along with her husband Chip and marked the first step of her business career.

Joanna Gaines got married to her long-term boyfriend Chip Gaines in 2003. The amazing on off-screen couple Joanna and Chip have four children. She first met her husband at her dad’s Firestone store, where she used to work as an interior designer.

Joanna and Chip both attended the same university i.e. Baylor University, where Joanna graduated three years later in 2001 with a Communications degree whereas Chip graduated with a degree in Business Administration. At that time, they didn’t know each other.

The couple began dating in 2001 and got engaged after a year. They got married on May 31, 2003, in a beautiful, private ceremony with their family and closest friends.
