Early Life and Education

The American news anchor, Sibila Vargas was born in Queens, New York, US, on September 1, 1968. Vargas belongs to American nationality and ethnicity wise, Vargas is of mixed ethnical background as her parents are of the Dominican descent.

When Vargas was 5, her parents divorced and she spent her early years in Queens along with her mother. By the age of 12, she was sent to live with her father in the Dominican Republic and attended a church-affiliated boarding school.

At the age of 15, Vargas relocated to New York and graduated from high school. Following her schooling, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Journalism and Minor in Psychology from the Long Island University.
